Soulios Gallery is proud to present Transformation and Beauty, a major solo exhibition by Los Angeles artist Donna Isham, opening October 2 - December 20, 2026. Bringing together her immersive installations, expressive portraiture, sculpture and large-scale abstract paintings, the exhibition is Isham's Nashville debut and introduces collectors to an artist whose work continually expands the language of contemporary painting.
Donna Isham's artistic practice is rooted in a lifelong commitment to creative exploration that began in early childhood and expanded through studies at the University of California, Berkeley, followed by extensive training in fine art and design. Influenced by an early career in film, costume design and styling, her work possesses a distinctly cinematic sensibility, where light, composition and narrative converge. Through a contemporary expressionist lens, Isham explores the tension between perception and reality, memory and consciousness, and the nature of beauty, all with a view to greater self-awareness, understanding and renewal. Whether working in portraiture, abstraction or immersive installation, Isham creates poetic spaces that invite reflection. Her work challenges viewers to consider how experience shapes our beliefs about ourselves, others and the world around us.
